Our thermal satellite constellation delivers the most accurate land surface temperature data on the market, equipping commercial players, governments, defence agencies, and global institutions with the thermal intelligence they need to make strategic decisions– from national security and infrastructure to agriculture and climate resilience.    As a fast-scaling company with offices in Brussels, Freiburg, Munich, Washington and Toulouse, our multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and strategists is building the future of space-based Earth observationLocation:  Munich / Berlin - Munich / Berlin (hybrid/remote possible)   Your Role As our Head of Brand &amp; Strategic Communications owns the company’s strategic narrative, positioning, and messaging with a strong focus on government, defence, and institutional stakeholders.   This role ensures that all external communications support the company’s long-term business objectives in a rapidly evolving geopolitical and defence environment  Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Messaging &amp; Positioning  <ul><li>Define and maintain the company-wide messaging framework with a focus on:  (Defence &amp; security applications, Space critical infrastructure, Sovereignty, resilience, and reliability.) </li><li>Translate geopolitical and defence policy developments into relevant communication narratives  </li></ul><ul><li>Own the company’s tone of voice and brand positioning across all external touchpoints  </li></ul><ul><li>Support in engaging with key industrial and political circles  </li></ul>Leadership &amp; Internal Alignment  <ul><li>Act as strategic communications partner to CEO, Gov Affairs, BD, and senior leadership  </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure alignment between comms &amp; marketing, business development, product / technical teams and public affairs  </li></ul><ul><li>Provide clear guidance and priorities to the communications (or MarCom) execution team  </li></ul>External Communications &amp; Thought Leadership  <ul><li>Shape high-level PR strategy and media positioning (defence, aerospace, policy)  </li></ul><ul><li>Drive executive thought leadership (op-eds, keynotes, panels)  </li></ul><ul><li>Own press activities, announcements, briefings, and ensure content calendars are aligned with strategic priorities  </li></ul><ul><li>Oversee messaging for high-stakes announcements and partnerships  </li></ul>Governance &amp; Risk Awareness  <ul><li>Ensure communications are appropriate for defence-sensitive and dual-use contexts  </li></ul><ul><li>Review and approve externally facing materials for consistency and credibility  </li></ul>About youRequired: <ul><li>7+ years of experience in strategic communications, brand, or public affairs  </li></ul><ul><li>Background in defence, aerospace, space, security policy, or government-facing industries and an extremely good radar on current affairs.  </li></ul><ul><li>Proven experience in B2G or institutional communications  </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent writing and narrative-building skills in English.
