<h2>Overview</h2>We are designing the grid of the future!  We are seeking a strategic and hands-on FP&amp;A Manager to lead financial planning and forecasting, while supporting ERP implementation and M&amp;A integration. This key role will partner with the business leaders to support their initiatives and help shape the company’s financial strategy, enhance operational efficiency, and build a best-in-class FP&amp;A function. The ideal candidate also brings deep SaaS and software industry experience, including a strong understanding of recurring revenue models, development expenditures, budget preparation, KPI tracking, and subscription-based metrics.<h2>Responsibilities</h2> How you can make an impact: FP&amp;A Leadership &amp; Team Development<ul> <li>Mentor and inspire a high-performing FP&amp;A team focused on continuous improvement and professional growth.</li> <li>Establish best-in-class practices for financial modeling, forecasting, and business partnering, including a strong focus on SaaS metrics and revenue modeling.</li> <li>Foster a data-driven culture that supports operational excellence and informed decision-making.</li> <li>Research and suggest metric to better track, analyze and forecast trends in business operations.</li></ul>Financial Planning, Forecasting &amp; ERP Enablement<ul> <li>Manage numerous aspects of the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes using automation and advanced analytics.</li> <li>Strengthen management reporting through BI-enabled dashboards and ERP-integrated insights.</li> <li>Partner with IT, Accounting, and Operations to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and alignment across systems.</li> <li>Support ERP implementation and optimization to ensure systems effectively enable FP&amp;A and reporting needs.</li></ul>Software Team Support &amp; Performance Metrics<ul> <li>Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to build and manage departmental budgets, aligning resource investments with strategic priorities.</li> <li>Track and analyze software team KPIs, including R&amp;D spend, project ROI, and headcount productivity.</li> <li>Support capital planning and CapEx forecasting for software development, infrastructure, and technology investments.</li> <li>Develop models to evaluate build vs. buy decisions and long-term product roadmap impacts.</li> <li>Provide financial insights that help optimize project prioritization, product profitability, and cost efficiency.</li></ul>Executive Business Partnering &amp; Strategic Insights<ul> <li>Serve as a trusted advisor to the Director of Finance, Corporate Controller, CFO, and other senior leaders, providing actionable insights that drive performance.</li> <li>Lead the creation of monthly reporting packages, including financial results, forecasts, analysis and scenario assessments. .</li> <li>Monitor alignment of financial plans with strategic goals while promoting cross-functional collaboration.</li> <li>Conduct market, operational, and competitive analysis to identify risks and opportunities.</li></ul>M&amp;A Financial Leadership &amp; Integration<ul> <li>Develop detailed financial models and investment cases to support strategic decisions.</li> <li>Prepare executive and board materials outlining M&amp;A opportunities and financial impacts.</li> <li>Lead post-merger budget and forecast integration, harmonizing reporting, planning, and performance reporting.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.</li> <li>10+ years of FP&amp;A experience with demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and executive reporting.</li> <li>Experience supporting SaaS or software-based business models, including knowledge of ARR, churn, retention, and unit economics.</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and FP&amp;A/BI tools (e.g., Datarails, Adaptive, Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau).</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leadership.</li> <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.</li></ul> The Ideal Candidate:<ul> <li>Strategic thinker who can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.</li> <li>Proven people leader with a track record of developing high-performing teams.</li> <li>Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, software revenue recognition (ASC 606), and recurring revenue forecasting.</li> <li>Thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments—preferably within software, engineering, or technology sectors.</li> <li>Experienced with international subsidiaries, multi-entity reporting, and process automation.</li> <li>Not hesitant to challenge assumptions, and seeks innovative solutions</li> <li>Intellectually curious and takes the initiative to learn new skills.</li> <li>Interested in the energy industry and eager to stay aware of industry trends.</li></ul>Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.  For more than half a century, Electric Power Engineers (EPE) has partnered with power and energy clients across the globe, providing consulting expertise and energy intelligence software solutions for complex engineering and grid modeling challenges.
