This role requires a mix of leadership, pricing analytics, and product knowledge. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading a team, conducting in-depth cost and market analyses, and presenting insights to support strategic decision-making. This role can be remote in the following states: FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY<h2>Responsibilities</h2>Key Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Lead, manage, and mentor the quotation team for liquid-filled transformer products, to continue to improve product knowledge, responsiveness, and customer service.</li> <li>Own and refine pricing strategy in alignment with market dynamics and customer needs.</li> <li>Calculate and manage pricing indices based on commodity cost fluctuations.</li> <li>Analyze quote win/loss trends to identify pricing opportunities and optimize success rates, with a focus on understanding, reporting, and working with engineering resources on quote declines/no-bids.</li> <li>Conduct bill of material (BOM) cost analyses and comparisons to inform pricing decisions.</li> <li>Maintain and manage pricing files and systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility.</li> <li>Develop and implement strategic product configuration strategies that reduce size/weight while maintaining compliance with customer specifications.</li> <li>Deliver clear, concise presentations of complex analysis to internal leadership.</li> <li>Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to align pricing strategies with broader business goals, ensuring accurate and up-to-date cost inputs for quotations.</li> <li>Coordinate and manage the end-to-end RFP response process, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive submissions, including maintaining a repository of RFP templates, standard language, and response collateral to streamline future submissions.</li> <li>Conduct market and demand trend analysis to inform pricing strategies and customer engagement plans.</li> <li>Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to support new customer acquisition strategies and execution.</li> <li>Drive process improvements across pricing and quotation workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li> <li>Identify and implement automation solutions to streamline operations (e.g., front-end portal for capturing bid requests from customers).</li> <li>Design and establish a standardized process for document repository and sharing to ensure accessibility and version control.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Qualifications:<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred).</li> <li>Highly analytical, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Advanced Excel skills required; experience with pricing and/or quotation (i.e., CPQ) tools, ERP, or data visualization platforms a plus.</li> <li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex data.</li> <li>Prior experience in the transformer or utility industry strongly preferred.</li> <li>Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.</li> <li>Experience managing or leading teams.</li></ul>Preferred Skills:<ul> <li>Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).</li> <li>Familiarity with automation tools and technologies for pricing and quotation workflows.</li> <li>Knowledge of front-end portal development or integration for customer bid submissions.</li> <li>Expertise in designing and managing document repositories and version control systems.</li> <li>Proficiency with CPQ platforms and ERP systems.</li> <li>Strong project management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives.</li></ul>Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career.
