You will be part of the Mechanical Validation team in Bangalore.This team runs with an objective to capture all the failures on a product before launchRoles &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for the complete Vehicle, Product (ePack, ePump, ePort and BMS) and Integration testing with a special focus on mechanical aspects. </li><li>DVP creation and sign off, while ensuring the robustness of the DVP</li><li>Bringing road to lab </li><li>Data collection and analysis at vehicle and component level.</li><li>Analysing the CAN data and other data that are being collected on Exponent Products as a part of validation/ customer usage.</li><li>Develop analysis methods to make sense of the voluminous data.</li><li>Creation of accelerated test cycles based on the actual customer usage in the field</li><li>Development of test fixtures to test and simulate the customer usage</li><li>Making of dashboards and development of metrics that helps in decoding customer usage </li><li>Representation of validation related activities in CFTs (Squad meetings)</li><li>Manage a team of engineers to ensure that the team goals are met</li><li>Development of test standards and adherence to IATF16949</li><li>Drive root cause analysis of the various issues that are identified as part of validation.</li><li>Field failure simulation of modes that are missed in validation. </li></ul>The ideal candidate requires:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of experience</li><li>Experience in Instrumentation and Data analysis is a must</li></ul><ul><li>Strong knowledge of testing processes and vehicle understanding and the different components of a vehicle is needed</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Excellent organizational and documentation skills.</li></ul>What matters:Quality of workApproach towards problem-solvingDissatisfaction towards mediocre workResilient attitude to bounce back after failingAbout UsExponent simplifies energy for EVs.Co-founded by Arun Vinayak (Ather Energy's Founding Partner &amp; Former Chief Product Officer) and Sanjay Byalal (Former hardware strategic sourcing and cell strategy lead, Ather and Former Supply Chain Lead, HUL), Exponent focuses on solving two sides of the energy problem by building the e^pump (charging station) and e^pack (battery pack) which together unlock 15-min rapid charging.The 200+ strong team of passionate builders have a ton of EV experience and are currently looking for more builders to join one of the best EV teams in India to build &amp; scale Exponent.
