Build to simplify.What you will doIn this role, you will take ownership of maintaining, troubleshooting and improving automated machinery across the plant. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Production, Automation and Engineering teams to ensure stable machine performance and resolve issues quickly.ResponsibilitiesPLC &amp; Controls (Primary Focus)• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in Mitsubishi PLCs (GX Works / GX Developer) • Modify logic, rectify interlocks, and support HMI updates • Analyse alarms, I/O faults, communication issues and machine stoppages • Work with sensors, actuators, proximity switches, encoders and safety circuitsElectrical Maintenance• Troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, power supplies, contactors and relays • Perform electrical panel wiring, modifications and upgrades • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and panels • Ensure compliance with electrical safety, grounding and high-voltage handling SOPsMechanical &amp; Electro-Mechanical Maintenance• Diagnose issues with mechanical assemblies, gearboxes, bearings and motion systems • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic cylinders, valves, manifolds, FRLs • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, including pressure controls and dispensing units • Support maintenance of automation fixtures, conveyors, SPMs and robotics equipmentMaintenance Operations &amp; Documentation• Perform preventive maintenance as per schedule • Maintain breakdown logs, PM records and escalation notes • Coordinate with vendors for spares, service visits and upgrades • Support machine installation, commissioning and line readiness activities • Identify recurring issues and implement corrective &amp; preventive actions (CAPA)The ideal candidate requires• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in maintenance of automated industrial machinery • Strong experience with Mitsubishi PLCs (mandatory) • Ability to troubleshoot electrical components: VFDs, relays, contactors, sensors, safety circuits • Good electrical wiring skill and understanding of industrial electrical panels • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and dispensing machines • Ability to read electrical &amp; mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and P&amp;IDs • Strong troubleshooting &amp; analytical skills • Basic understanding of MES/SCADA alarms and machine data (good to have) • ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics (or similar)What matters• High ownership, urgency and responsiveness during breakdowns • Calm and structured problem-solving mindset • Strong communication skills — able to coordinate with operators, engineers &amp; vendors • Team player with a people-first attitude • Willingness to learn, adapt and work hands-on with both electrical &amp; mechanical systemsAbout UsExponent simplifies energy for EVs.Co-founded by Arun Vinayak (Ather Energy's Founding Partner &amp; Former Chief Product Officer) and Sanjay Byalal (Former hardware strategic sourcing and cell strategy lead, Ather and Former Supply Chain Lead, HUL), Exponent focuses on solving two sides of the energy problem by building the e^pump (charging station) and e^pack (battery pack) which together unlock 15-min rapid chargingThe 200+ strong team has tons of EV experience and is in the process of hiring more professionals to build &amp; scale Exponent as one of the best EV Energy Companies out of India
