<div> Sargent Electric Company (<a href="http://www.sargentelectric.com">www.sargentelectric.com</a>) - Consistently named one of the Top Fastest Growing Companies.  Also, Awarded Safety recognition by Specialty Trades Insurance Company for the large company bracket and The Association of Union Constructors!  Established in 1907, Sargent Electric Company has since evolved into one of the largest electrical contracting companies in the area, providing comprehensive services to our clients.We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator in our Columbus, OH office location.  The ideal candidate will prove and/or coordinate all aspects of estimating services for electrical project estimates RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Review specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid and project site meetings to determine full project scope and estimate requirements.</li><li>Manage the electrical estimating process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of all estimates and supporting documentation.</li><li>Prepare complex electrical estimates using Company estimating systems, established procedures, and sound judgment, with minimal supervision.</li><li>Compile, maintain, and analyze historical cost data, and monitor completed projects to improve estimating accuracy and cost forecasting.</li><li>Solicit, evaluate, and analyze pricing from vendors and subcontractors, maintain vendor databases, and prepare prequalification documentation as required.</li><li>Review estimating assumptions to ensure alignment with Company policies, procedures, and safety standards.</li><li>Prepare schedules, value engineering options, and cost-saving initiatives to support competitive and accurate bids.</li><li>Support business development efforts by communicating with clients, engineers, and architects, presenting estimates, and participating in negotiations as needed.</li><li>Prepare detailed cost budgets, change order pricing, and estimating documentation to support project turnover and post-award execution.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and oversight to estimating staff, identify areas for improvement, and assist with team development.</li><li>Perform additional estimating or related duties as assigned by Sargent Electric Management.</li></ul>SKILLS:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">A minimum of a four year electrical engineering degree or equivalent is preferred as well as 5 years’ electrical estimating and construction experience in related industries.  </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">A demonstrated knowledge of electrical estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, and computer/cost control/budget systems is also necessary as well as the ability to interpret computerized cost data.  </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Must be able to prepare complex estimates with minimal supervision.  </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">The position requires someone who is detailed oriented, analytical, organized, is able to meet established deadlines, has strong management and communication skills, and works well in pressure-type situations.  </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Project field experience is also preferred.</li></ul>Sargent Electric Company and all its affiliate companies are committed to providing equal employment opportunities in all aspects of employment to qualified individuals without regard to the following criteria: race, color, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, mental or physical disability, age, familial or marital status, ancestry, military status, veteran status or genetic information as well as any other prohibited criteria under any local, state or federal law applicable to Sargent Electric Company. </div>
