The candidate must have experience in conducting surveys, preparing cross sections, and performing leveling and alignment checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.<ul><li>Perform duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer.</li><li>Independently conduct survey activities, including preparation of cross-sections and alignment checks.</li><li>Maintain accurate survey and level books for all site activities.</li><li>Verify structure layouts against approved drawings and ensure correct alignment.</li><li>Assist the Resident Engineer in monitoring survey operations and ensuring compliance with quality standards.</li></ul>With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.Suitable applicants will have/be:<ul><li>Tertiary qualifications: DAE (Civil) from a recognized technical institute, preferably B.Sc. (Civil Engineering).</li><li>Minimum 12 years of overall experience, including at least 8 years of relevant experience in surveying and leveling on Highway projects.</li><li>Strong knowledge of survey instruments and techniques.</li><li>Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.</li></ul>SMEC is an equal opportunity employer.
