Travel to project sites or meetings with external stakeholders may be required approximately 10%–20% of the time. Requirements Key Job Responsibilities Project Estimating:<ul><li>Helping to create, update, and manage project CAPEX estimates using 3rd party estimating firms, reviewing EPC bids, comparing other project estimates, and/or using or developing tools or systems to provide up-to-date estimates.  </li><li>Support the review and evaluation of EPC contractor RFP deliverables, including detailed pricing, drawings, submittals, and material selections, to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards. </li><li>Help coordinate communication between internal engineering, development, procurement, finance and construction teams, as well as external stakeholders. </li><li>Coordinate estimate review meetings, document discussions, tracking action items, and supporting follow-up coordination. </li><li>Review and organizing technical documentation for permit applications, interconnection submittals, and project approvals. </li><li>Responsible for project estimate tracking and reporting to ensure realistic budgets using updated equipment and contractor estimates.  </li><li>Analyze data from geotechnical, hydrology, and interconnection studies. </li></ul>Energy Analysis:<ul><li>Perform Energy Analysis for PV and BESS projects using PV SYST or other software as necessary to provide realistic energy production forecasts based on specific project design and environmental data. </li><li>Create 8760 reports, degradation reports, and another reports from PV SYST. </li><li>Work with Design Manager to obtain PVCase PVC layout file and incorporate into PV SYST. </li><li>Analyze weather data and incorporate into PV SYST for realistic weather data source.  </li><li>Review and analyze Energy Analysis reports from multiple EPC’s or other sources to compare and evaluate inputs, losses, and results.  </li><li>Coordinate and lead Energy Analysis review and obtain all necessary inputs to provide to 3rd party Independent Engineer and review results.  </li></ul>Technical Focus:<ul><li>Conduct detailed reviews to verify compliance with the EPC scope of work, permitting requirements, and utility interconnection standards. </li><li>Help evaluate request for proposals, diagrams, and specifications between internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Gain familiarity with grid interconnection studies, communication protocols, and data management processes. </li><li>Participate in field visits to gather site information and assist with engineering-related inspections or data collection. </li><li>Participate in discussions and document reviews related to design, cost, and technical matters related to substations, BESS, and PV plant projects. </li></ul>Required Education<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree</li></ul>Required Experience<ul><li>1+ years of experience in engineering, estimating, energy analysis, or related roles within the renewable energy or power generation industry. </li></ul> Other Skills<ul><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across teams and disciplines. </li><li>Basic understanding of engineering design principles (civil or electrical). </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or power system analysis tools is a plus. </li><li>Proficiency in PVSyst running Energy Analysis. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. </li><li>Basic understanding of grid interconnection processes, regulations, and technical requirements. </li><li>Experience working with utilities, ISOs, permitting agencies, EPC contractors, engineering firms, etc. (is a plus). </li></ul> Physical RequirementsThe Renewable Energy Associate may be required to endure the following physical activities, environmental conditions, and physical demands: <ul><li>Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, </li><li>Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one worksite to another, </li><li>Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions, </li><li>Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and </li><li>Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. </li></ul>
