We are seeking a skilled Project Support Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of capital works projects across our Australian sites. This role plays a key part in the successful installation, coordination, and governance of plant and equipment upgrades, and is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced project environment. A significant element of this role involves close collaboration with suppliers and equipment buying partners in China.Your key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>Supervising and coordinating the installation of plant and equipment on site.</li><li>Managing contractors to ensure work is completed on schedule and to required standards.</li><li>Leading all project‑related safety requirements, including inductions, permits, SWMS checks and compliance follow‑up.</li><li>Managing minor projects end‑to‑end, including scope development, financial tracking and presenting Capital Expense Requests.</li><li>Monitoring budgets and project expenditures, ensuring invoices are accurate and paid on time.</li><li>Maintaining accurate project documentation, meeting minutes and project management tools.</li><li>Liaising with our China‑based equipment buying agent and OEM suppliers.</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Native‑level Mandarin language proficiency (spoken &amp; written) — a non‑negotiable requirement.</li><li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline).</li><li>1–2 years’ experience in a similar engineering or project support role.</li><li>Strong organisational skills</li><li>Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.</li><li>Willingness to travel </li></ul>
