The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on role that performs and leads warehouse operations, including supervising staff, focusing on increasing accuracy and production levels while maintaining a safe work environment.<ul><li>Monitor operations and staff and recommends changes in methods, procedure, structure, and staffing to optimize utilization of resources.</li><li>Maintains manifests and bills of lading for outbound trailers.</li><li>Ensures that trailers are in compliance with DOT, local, state and federal regulations.</li><li>Order and maintain supplies</li><li>Create and maintain 10-day yard schedules for transport</li><li>Inventory control and tracking</li><li>Sort, separate and move material within the warehouse.</li><li>Monitor department work productivity.  Report trends and recommend/implement changes to continually improve productivity.</li><li>Select, train, develop and motivate an effective and efficient staff.  Counsel employees on educational and job opportunities which will enhance their career development. </li><li>Establish and communicate performance standards and objectives to staff. </li><li>Conduct periodic meetings to keep staff informed of current problems, changes, new developments in the department and company.</li><li>Monitor and ensure that employees are performing their functions safely and productively.  Make recommendations for improvements to prevent accidents and injuries.</li><li>Provide regular performance feedback to team members.  Provide additional training/coaching to those not meeting performance standards.</li><li>Foster an environment of open communication and inclusion among team members.  </li><li>Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.</li></ul>
