About the positionYou will work with our engineers, product owners and the rest of our QA team at every stage of the development process to ensure that our products reliably provide value to our customers. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities and the detection and resolution of problems.Our products are used by shipping company engineers and captains to optimise the technical operations and navigation of their vessels based on our in-house developed AI and optimisation algorithms. You will need to gain a good understanding of the vision and underlying technology behind our products and the needs that they satisfy. Our QA process combines both manual and automated testing. While we are expanding our automation capabilities, manual testing remains an essential part of the role.Main responsibilities:<ul><li>Liaise with engineers, product owners and the wider team to understand the vision, technology, and customer needs behind upcoming releases.</li><li>Design manual and automated scripts for upcoming releases and the regression pack.</li><li>Extend the test automation framework, adding coverage for new services and regression scenarios.</li><li>Participate in developing innovative testing frameworks that employ AI for requirements analysis and test execution.</li><li>Provide effort estimates for the testing activities.</li><li>Identify and evaluate testing tools and frameworks as we continue to expand our automation capabilities.</li><li>Execute both manual and automated tests, depending on the needs of each release.</li><li>Contribute to the  improvement of QA standards, processes, and documentation.</li><li>Contribute to test strategy, risk assessments, and release sign-off decisions.</li><li>Provide guidance to the more junior members of the team.</li></ul>This role is ideal for a QA professional who enjoys a balanced mix of manual and automated testing. We are in the process of building an AI-first testing approach and we are looking for someone to join our existing team in this forward thinking journey. Main Requirements:<ul><li>BSc / MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.</li><li>4+ years of experience testing complex cloud-based SaaS products.</li><li>Ability to work with AI-assisted QA practices, including automated test generation, self-healing tests, and AI-driven debugging.</li><li>Hands-on proficiency with one or more programming languages including Python, Java, JavaScript and good understanding of RDBMS and SQL queries.</li><li>Experience testing back-end systems, web applications, REST APIs, relational databases (PostgreSQL), and data pipelines or ETL workflows.</li><li>Working experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) and test reporting frameworks (Allure or equivalent).</li><li>Experience in testing back-end systems and front-end GUIs, web services, API testing, including REST and GraphQL services, and relational databases.</li><li>Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Testmo, TestRail, Zephyr).</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-layered applications.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control and defect management.</li><li>Good understanding of test automation frameworks such as Playwright or similar. </li><li>Strong collaboration skills to work closely with SW engineers, AI engineers and DevOps teams.</li><li>High level of spoken and written fluency in English, including ability to produce clear, readable documentation.</li><li>Good understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices.</li></ul>Nice to have:<ul><li>Experience contributing to the development or improvement of automation frameworks.</li><li>A github/bitbucket portfolio that can be shared.</li><li>Performance testing &amp; experience with tools such as  JMeter or Gatling.</li><li>Security testing experience.</li><li>Experience in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).</li><li>Experience with NoSQL engines.</li><li>ISEB/ISTQB certification.</li></ul>What we offer<ul><li>Competitive remuneration package: Skill &amp; experience-based salary.
