The Lead Brand Designer is a senior creative leader responsible for elevating and evolving the Workiva brand across every touchpoint, driving world-class brand design, and shaping the future of our visual identity. Identifying opportunities to modernize and scale the brand through new formats, technologies, and creative approaches</li><li>Uphold exceptional craft across typography, color, layout and composition internally and externally; guiding agency partners to ensure creative outputs meet Workiva’s quality and strategic bar</li><li>Translate briefs into strategic design solutions rooted in insights and business goals</li><li>Work with Creative Operations, production partners, and external agencies to ensure fidelity from concept through delivery</li><li>Provide creative direction, mentorship, and thoughtful critique while facilitating cross-team design reviews that elevate collective creative thinking, standards, and execution across internal and cross-functional partners</li><li>Champion best practices in design, storytelling, accessibility, and global scalability</li><li>Manage end-to-end production for high-visibility deliverables (ie: executive decks, global events, campaigns, illustration/visual system work)</li><li>Analyze performance data in partnership with Marketing to refine creative for impact and continuous improvements</li></ul>What You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications<ul><li>Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Brand Design, or a related field</li><li>8+ years of professional experience in brand design, visual design, or related creative marketing fields</li><li>Experience in business-to-business (B2B) marketing, with a preference for Software as a Service (SaaS) </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience shaping or contributing to a brand refresh, brand system, or large-scale identity evolution</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead high-impact creative work at an enterprise B2B or SaaS environment</li><li>Experience leveraging emerging technologies such as generative AI, 3D, and motion design to transform creative workflows and amplify brand impact at scale</li><li>Strong portfolio showcasing: identity systems, campaign work, digital and social design, event/experiential design, storytelling and concept development, and sophisticated visual craft</li><li>Experience mentoring designers or leading creative reviews strongly preferred</li><li>High proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite </li><li>Communicates conceptual thinking, strategy, and design rationale clearly to diverse audiences</li><li>Leads multiple complex initiatives with a strong balance of creativity, precision, and strategic alignment</li><li>Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and adapts quickly to shifting priorities</li><li>Delivers compelling presentations and narratives that engage and influence stakeholders</li><li>Fosters strong, collaborative relationships across disciplines and teams</li></ul>Travel Requirements &amp; Working Conditions<ul><li>10% travel for customer and internal meetings</li><li>Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office</li></ul>How You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $133,000.00 - $214,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
