Key Duties and Responsibilities:The Sales Head will play a pivotal role in establishing and growing our local presence within the Sustainable Technology Division, fostering a positive work environment, leading employees effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence.This role reports into the Head of Revenue.Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Exploring local market conditions and identifying current and prospective sales opportunities within the sustainable technology sector.</li><li>Working closely with and in support of operations across distribution, customer service, human resources, administration, sales, and technical support.</li><li>Preparing forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans.</li><li>Organizing budgets and allocating funds appropriately.</li><li>Providing training, coaching, development, and motivation to branch/division personnel.</li><li>Identifying opportunities for improvement, proposing corrective actions, and leveraging growth opportunities.</li><li>Consulting with other divisions and head office on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and operational needs.</li><li>Managing customer and employee satisfaction issues and responding promptly.</li><li>Ensuring goals and performance metrics are achieved, while complying with applicable regulations and company policies.</li><li>Building relationships to strengthen the presence and reputation of the division and company.</li><li>Staying informed about developments in competing markets and providing reports on market trends and penetration.</li><li>Driving the performance of various sales channels within the division.</li></ul>Role Requirements<ul><li>Matric/NQF4 minimum.</li><li>Relevant post-Matric qualification preferred, e.g. a degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.</li><li>5 - 7 years’ experience in a managerial role or similar leadership position.</li><li>Experience with modern management techniques and best practices.</li><li>Proven ability to meet sales targets and operational goals.</li><li>Strong organizational skills, results-driven, and customer-focused.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.</li><li>Technical competence in sustainable technologies an advantage.</li></ul>Key Personal Attributes<ul><li>Self-motivated, proactive, and able to make sound decisions and recommendations.</li><li>Challenges the status quo by looking for more efficient and innovative ways of working.</li><li>Passionate about continuous learning, self-improvement, and excellence.</li><li>Able to manage own time effectively, work independently, and collaborate as a team player.</li><li>Positive attitude with a strong drive for service delivery.</li><li>Effective at leading, driving, and motivating others.</li><li>Builds strong internal relationships through regular communication and collaboration.</li><li>Confident in managing external stakeholders (business partners, clients, service providers).</li><li>Organized, efficient, able to prioritize tasks, and consistently punctual.</li><li>Embraces technology and supports process automation.</li><li>Excellent computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).</li><li>Aligned with Rubicon Group’s zero-tolerance approach to discrimination of any kind.</li><li>Aligned with Rubicon Group’s zero-tolerance approach to corrupt business activities and committed to the highest ethical standards in stakeholder dealings.</li></ul>
