This will be a hybrid position, and candidates should be within commuting distance to Oakland, CA.As the newest member of our team, you’ll dive into a collaborative environment where group problem-solving is part of our culture. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment but also seeks autonomy to drive independent projects with confidence. You should enjoy solving problems with GIS software applications and other creative technical solutions and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging workplace that will impact public infrastructure and the environment.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Extensive use of ArcGIS Pro for data analysis and cartographic production. Use of ArcGIS Online for mobile field data collection, web maps, authoritative datasets, and integration with ArcGIS Pro.</li><li>Manage tasks and time accordingly for multiple simultaneous projects with competing deadlines using task tracking system.</li><li>Work independently and collaboratively with a team of GIS professionals and adhere to AECOM’s GIS standards: folder structure and data standards.</li><li>Troubleshoot and devise new approaches with minimal guidance.</li><li>Cross-discipline coordination: Work closely with project teams and clients to understand project needs and deliver GIS solutions of moderate to significant scope and complexity.</li><li>Some project tasks include biological permitting to support infrastructure and utility projects, species habitat modeling, impact analyses and associated calculations.</li></ul>
