AECOM is seeking a GIS Specialist to be based in Louisville, KY to support our Water Resources practice. In this role you will focus primarily on GIS tasks related to floodplain analysis, FEMA DFIRM databases, municipal storm sewer infrastructure, and asset management. The successful candidate will coordinate with other members of the GIS team and various project managers while working on multiple concurrent projects in a collaborative work environment.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and associated software to produce, display, and analyze geographic information</li><li>Develop and maintain databases, reports, and mapping</li><li>Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes</li><li>Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components</li><li>Use concepts, practices, and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients</li><li>Lead project specific tasks while working closely with the project team to meet client deadlines</li><li>Maintain an effective and frequent line of communication amongst team members and clients</li><li>Spatial data collection, creation, conversion, and editing</li><li>Custom GIS development and automation</li><li>GIS data interpretation and analysis, including rasters</li><li>Process documentation</li></ul>
