<p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><div><h3><b>The Role</b></h3><p>As an intern at the Escobedo plant, you will support the <b>update and creation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures</b> to reduce safety risks during equipment interventions. This project ensures compliance with safety standards and improves clarity and accessibility of LOTO documentation for operators and maintenance teams.</p><h3><b>What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)</b></h3><ul><li><b>Review and update existing LOTO procedures</b> in collaboration with Maintenance and EHS teams, ensuring accuracy of steps, images, and revision dates.</li><li>Validate and update more than <b>400 LOTO cards</b> currently loaded in the Brady platform; print, laminate, and place updated cards on machines and equipment.</li><li><b>Print, laminate, and install energy source identification</b> on machines according to updated LOTO procedures.</li><li><b>Create new LOTO procedures (Alternative LOTO)</b> for activities that currently lack documentation, mainly production tasks involving emergency stops; upload documents to Brady platform with steps and images, then print, laminate, and place on equipment.</li><li><b>Identify improvement needs</b> for devices to ensure proper application of lockout according to procedures.</li></ul><h3><b>What Success Looks Like</b></h3><ul><li>All existing LOTO procedures reviewed, updated, and properly installed on equipment.</li><li>New alternative LOTO procedures documented and implemented for previously uncovered activities.</li><li>Energy source identification visible and aligned with updated procedures.</li><li>Improved compliance and reduced safety risks during interventions.</li></ul><h3><b>Core Competencies</b></h3><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to collaborate with EHS and Maintenance teams.</li><li>Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.</li><li>Proactive attitude and ability to manage documentation processes.</li></ul><h3><b>What You Bring (Qualifications)</b></h3><p><b>Applicable Backgrounds:</b></p><ul><li>Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Basic knowledge of safety standards and LOTO practices.</li><li>Ability to manage documentation and digital platforms (Brady or similar).</li><li>Comfortable working on the shop floor and interacting with technical teams.</li></ul><h3><b>Our Commitment to You</b></h3><p>You’ll contribute to a <b>critical safety initiative</b> that strengthens compliance and reduces risks in automated environments.
