This internship offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of HR, including talent acquisition, onboarding, digital process improvement, and employee engagement initiatives. You'll gain valuable exposure to real-world HR functions and contribute to projects that directly impact our team's success.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><h3>What You’ll Do:</h3><ul> <li> <ul> <li>Aid and improve talent acquisition efforts</li> <li>Conduct phone screens</li> <li>Assist in administering new hire orientations</li> <li>Help create and maintain forms and templates (Adobe, MS Forms)</li> <li>Upgrade onboarding and HR materials</li> <li>Maintain inventory of department promotional products</li> <li>Coordinate and track the onboarding process</li> <li>Assist with HR projects</li> </ul></li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><h3>What We’re Looking For:</h3><ul> <li> <ul> <li>Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field</li> <li>GPA of 2.7 or above</li> <li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written)</li> <li>Comfortable working with all levels </li> <li>Self-motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills</li> <li>Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)</li> <li>Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively</li> <li>Ability to complete assignments in a timely and thorough manner</li> <li>Time Frame: typically 16 weeks, May - June, but flexible.  </li> <li>Minimum 3 days week 24 hours up to 40 hours. OmniSource, LLC is a multifaceted metals-recycling company&mdash;one of North America&rsquo;s largest processors and distributors of scrap and secondary metals. We collect, process, and resell a wide variety of scrap metal. Through recent expansions and acquisitions, we can now process 7 million tons of ferrous scrap per year and more than 1 billion pounds of nonferrous metals. We currently operate more than 70 collection and processing facilities, including 11 high-capacity shredders as well as other metals processing facilities, and employ about 2,500 people. Our primary collection and processing facilities are in the Midwest, the Southeast, and the mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Moreover, utilizing a wide-ranging fleet of trucks and containers, railcars, and barges to collect and haul metals, our reach stretches across North America. Our national brokerage and trading operations serve both metals buyers and sellers, providing the market intelligence and insights needed to optimize transaction value. Supplementing our company-operated scrap collection sites, we also acquire metals from industrial scrap generators with which we have established strategic partnerships.
