Team Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead a large complement of junior, mid-level and senior Mechanical staff and provide mentorship, direction, and motivation on a daily basis and in a strategic manner to ensure AECOM remains an employer of choice for Mechanical skills.</li><li>Effectively bring teams together to work toward a shared goal ensuring the team’s results exceed the total achievements of the individuals.</li><li>Foster an open working environment free of discrimination and harassment and ensure that everyone receives equal treatment in all aspects of employment policies and working practices.</li><li>Mentor technical leadership talent and train staff, ensuring discipline skills are up to date and industry relevant.</li><li>Create an environment where the team can operate with the highest standards of integrity.</li><li>Provide timely, honest feedback regularly to promote learning, development, and improved results.</li><li>Listen to and respect the opinions of others and allow for open communication to express differences.</li><li>Coach to develop and maximize strengths of team members.</li><li>Hold themselves and others to high standards.</li></ul> Business Development:<ul><li>Lead client relationship/business development activities through early interaction, “scope of work” development, interviews, and on-going client maintenance interface.</li><li>Responsible for developing market sector intelligence including industry assessments, trends in key markets and client opportunities for investment and winning work.</li><li>Responsible for developing a robust technical network within AECOM globally to provide clients with the most appropriate technical solutions and is part of the global technical practice teams.</li><li>Participate in preparing major bids and proposals on the technical side whilst supporting business development initiatives through their technical expertise.</li><li>Frequently win business from new/repeat clients and develop strategic and superior client relationships.</li><li>Work with other practice leaders to develop AECOM’s competitive positioning strategy.</li></ul>
