We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HSE Intern to support our Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives within the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) industry. The purpose of this position is to play a key role in developing and updating our Emergency Response Planning documents and establishing the HSE dashboard. This role offers hands-on experience in developing and implementing safety programs, environmental compliance, and risk management practices in a rapidly growing renewable energy sector. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Assist in developing and maintaining HSE documentation, including emergency planning and environmental compliance.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Provide support and expertise in developing HSE Dashboarding for active BESS facilities. Initial focus will be in Hazardous Energy Control, Fire Suppression Systems and Spill Prevention.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Support incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Participate in site safety audits and inspections identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Develop training materials and safety awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Assist in data collection and analysis for environmental performance metrics.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;margin-bottom:4px;">All other duties as required </li></ul>WORK EXPERIENCE &amp; REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Strong interest in renewable energy and battery storage technologies.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Proficient in Adobe Acrobat based document editing.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Basic understanding of HSE principles, regulations, and best practices.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li></ul> Preferred Skills:<ul><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and risk assessment methodologies.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Familiarity with energy storage systems or renewable energy projects.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Experience with safety management systems or auditing processes.</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Pursuing a degree in Renewable Energy, Occupational Health &amp; Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.</li></ul> Physical Requirements: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Prolonged periods of working at a computer</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Minimum of one day in-person at the Houston office per week</li></ul> </div>
