This role involves both computer work  at a desk and physical hands-on work in the warehouse. The work includes operating the forklift and other warehouse equipment as required, shipping and receiving, as well as providing support to inventory management and warehouse operations. <ul><li>Perform general warehouse duties, including organizing shelves, pallet racking area and other warehouse areas to ensure a smooth flow of materials  </li><li>Safely operate the forklift (sit-down counterbalance) and other warehouse equipment (e.g. pallet jack, pallet stacker) to load and unload materials from trucks and pallet racking</li><li>Receive products according to standard operating procedures; perform quality checks, investigate discrepancies between the packing slip and PO and report any damaged products</li><li>Package customer orders according to procedures and customer requirements (this may include building wooden crates)</li><li>Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is complete and accurate</li><li>Assist with all inventory counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels</li><li>Operate the company van (class 5 driver's license is required) to pick-up &amp; drop-off materials locally when required</li><li>Assist with arranging logistics, utilizing both local couriers and international freight carriers</li><li>Comply with all health and safety regulations</li><li>Visually inspecting metalwork for powder coat or paint issues or shipping/handling damage</li><li>Basic testing functional, programming of power electronics and calibration of batteries or willing to be trained</li><li>Assisting with some basic assembly, installing insulation, adding decals and labels </li><li>Other duties may be assigned  </li></ul>Requirements <ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving</li><li>Minimum 2 years of sit-down counterbalance forklift experience with valid forklift certification</li><li>Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract </li><li>Knowledgeable with Hazmat Transport Regulations or willing to take training</li><li>Experience with international shipping regulations and documentation</li><li>Experience working with dangerous goods</li><li>Experience with heavy loads and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time </li><li>Ability to use the computer and work with MS Office Suite</li><li>Attention to detail, strong organizational skills</li><li>Self-motivated team player with ability to work in a fast paced environment </li></ul>Location: <ul><li>This is a role working out of our Vancouver, BC location full-time</li><li>Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday</li></ul> </div>
