Field Service Technician I

We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring.Summary: The Field Service Technician I - Solar will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.&nbsp;Requirements:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <ul><li>Takes direction from senior site personnel.</li><li>Assists with troubleshooting of AC and DC power systems.</li><li>Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems.</li><li>Uses hand tools effectively.</li><li>Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).</li><li>Manages site inventory.</li><li>Follows site safety plan and safe work practices.</li><li>Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.).</li><li>Interfaces with project subcontractors.</li><li>Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders.</li><li>Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.</li><li>Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.</li><li>Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies &amp; Procedures.</li><li>Rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.</li><li>Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.&nbsp;</li></ul>Safety: <ul><li>Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.</li><li>Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.</li><li>Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.</li><li>Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence.</li><li>Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.</li><li>Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications: <ul><li>High school/GED General Education required.</li><li>1+ years or more Related maintenance experience preferred.&nbsp; </li><li>Basic knowledge of:<ul><li>Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)</li><li>Electrical power systems</li><li>Drawings</li><li>Basic circuit theory</li><li>OSHA regulations</li><li>Hand tools</li></ul></li><li>Ability to reside with a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from the work site to ensure availability for on-site responsibilities.</li><li>Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.</li><li>Functional Competencies Include:&nbsp; Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics &amp; Integrity, Communication and Prioritization.</li><li>Domestic travel 5-15% required.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License required. </li></ul>&nbsp;Anticipated base salary range:&nbsp; $25.33 - $31.66&nbsp;The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. &nbsp;RES offers benefits that are effective first day of employment.
