We develop solar energy and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects where the energy market dynamics, grid interconnection rules, and land permitting requirements are often unknown or are in flux and this role is important to help us navigate these unknowns. This entry-level role is primarily comprised of proactive communication and coordinating successfully with a multidisciplinary team. The Associate’s contributions are important to ensure our projects meet quality standards, schedule requirements, and budgets, determining project viability.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor and analyze project schedules, scopes of work, and budgets; provide recommendations on tasks to ensure project viability.</li><li>Schedule regular meetings and record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps).</li><li>Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders.</li><li>Research and obtain critical project or market information regarding zoning code, policy, permits, land records and relevant industry studies.</li><li>Monitor and measure project progress and address or report potential issues.</li><li>Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements.</li><li>Act as a key point of contact for all project information.</li><li>Participate in managing and approving expenses.</li><li>Collaborate with internal partners to document project details and improve standard operating procedures and processes.</li><li>Conduct outreach to prospective landowners.</li><li>Conduct due diligence and site analysis.</li><li>Identify constraints and participate in obstacle resolution and risk tracking.</li><li>Support preparation and analysis of interconnection documents and applications, including coordination with utilities.</li><li>Support coordination with internal engineering, including communicating design constraints and reviewing layouts for conformance with project and Company goals.</li><li>Conduct outreach to permitting authorities; prepare permit applications; and provide support during public hearings, meetings, and other community engagement.</li><li>Support the development of required documents for financing of projects and communicate frequently with the finance and legal teams.</li><li>Coordinate with external consultants and manage relationships to ensure external deliverables are completed correctly and on time.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>1 year of experience working in a professional environment, including internships and part-time work.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in related field (energy, real estate, sustainability, policy, communications) or equivalent experience.</li><li>High degree of organization and time-management skills.</li><li>Experience in PC computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and Windows. Salesforce experience a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated interest in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, or related field.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with a high level of organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.</li><li>Experience in efficient, timely, and reliable support to internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Self-motivated and self -starter, with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.</li><li>High levels of integrity and personal accountability.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.</li><li>Ability to manage competing priorities often across functional and operational lines.</li><li>Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility.</li><li>A willingness to contribute to our culture which thrives on building trust and holding one another accountable.</li><li>Ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain.
