We enable homeowners to confidently make the switch to modern, electric technologies and get their homes off of fossil fuels – all at once, or over time.</p></div><h3>About The Role</h3><p><strong>What you would be doing: </strong>Our PMs take over from Home Comfort Advisors once a project is sold, serving as the customer’s main point of contact through pre-installation, construction, and inspection. They oversee installer partners to ensure quality, maintain margins, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Other responsibilities include though are not limited to:</p><p><strong>Big Things:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee the successful delivery of home comfort and electrification projects – You are accountable for the entire project scope, the project team and resources, the project budget, and the success or failure of the project.</li><li>Lead planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects.</li><li>Understand &amp; articulate project goals, develop reasonable project schedules, coordinate scheduling with contractor partners, manage homeowner expectations, and keep all stakeholders aligned and informed.</li><li>Develop and execute detailed processes and task lists; use best practices and tools to efficiently track, delegate, and ensure completion.</li><li>Monitor project risks and develop/implement mitigation strategies in real time.</li></ul><p><strong>Little Things:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide internal and external feedback to improve our ability to sell, scope, design, and execute projects; Improve our Project Playbook.</li><li>Identify opportunities to deliver an even better experience for all stakeholders – homeowners, contractor-partners, suppliers, etc.</li><li>Ensure our Project Management capabilities are world-class – effective, efficient, replicable, scalable, etc.</li><li>Help to grow our Project Management team through hiring, training, and collaborating with other Project Managers.</li></ul><p><strong>What you won’t be doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Working exclusively from your desk managing relationships from a phone or computer.</li><li>Handling refrigerant, wiring electrical panels, or drilling into drywall.</li></ul><p><strong>Timeline for role expectations:</strong></p><ol><li>Within one month, you will have:</li></ol><ul><li>Shadowed multiple home comfort consultations and installations.</li><li>Gained comfort with our tech stack.</li></ul><li>Within three months, you will have completed your first heat pump project and be manage multiple end to end projects independently.</li><li>Within six months, you will independently manage a portfolio of installation projects and be supporting the growth and success of other members of the sales team.</li><p><strong>Success in this role looks like/can be measured as: </strong></p><ul><li>Quality. PMs are the last stop on quality, measured in call backs and failed inspections.</li><li>Customer Satisfaction. We’ve passionate about achieving outstanding NPS and we want every customer to have an amazing experience building with us. </li><li>Margin. PMs directly influence our ability to meet and exceed margin targets on every project.  </li></ul><h3>You're a great fit for this role if you have/you are:</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience successfully delivering projects in residential architecture or construction, HVAC, energy, or similar industries. Experience in related fields such as smart home technology, building science, energy efficiency, or customer-focused project management is highly desirable. Familiarity with building codes, permitting processes, and project management tools is a plus.</li><li>A business generalist mindset – capable of handling a wide range of situations and conversations, engaging with customers, negotiating with contractors, problem solving with suppliers, and developing and operationalizing processes.</li><li>A toolkit of project management skills and are passionate about customer experience.</li><li>A builder, a go-getter, a genuine self-starter; you get stuff done and promptly.</li><li>A fast learner who holds yourself to high expectations (and meets them).</li><li>A little knowledge about a lot of stuff – energy, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, business, finance, operations, etc. </li><li>The commitment to building a diverse, equitable workplace and seek to make our company more inclusive.</li></ul><h3>Indicators this may <em>not</em> be the right role for you:</h3><ul><li>You prioritize working in isolation over collaborating as a guide and partner to your team.</li><li>You struggle with time management and cannot effectively manage competing priorities.</li><li>Giving and/or receiving feedback makes you uncomfortable.</li><li>You rely on clarity, organization, and structure to succeed but struggle to create them independently.</li><li>You’re uneasy about face to face customer service and vendor relationship management. </li></ul><h3>Total Compensation</h3><ul><li>Annual base salary of $75,000-$90,000, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus. </li><li>Stock options, commensurate with experience and in line with internal equity bands</li><li>Health Care: 100% employer-paid base plan; 50% for dependents</li><li>401(k): 4% company match</li><li>10 company holidays and unlimited Paid Time Off (vacation &amp; wellness/illness) </li><li>Home Electrification Incentives</li><li>Flexible, hybrid work environment </li></ul><p><strong>Location</strong>: <em>This position is a hybrid role requiring a split of in-person oversight at projects and remote/at home work in Los Angeles. We plan to quickly expand but are launching in the in the north east region of the city (Pasadena - Alhambra - Azusa - Covina - Claremont - Rancho Cucamonga). While not required to live in our initial service area you will be expected to be at customer’s homes multiple times per week. Questions about the service area?
