ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Safety:<ul><li>Ensure work is performed in accordance with safety policies and procedures.                     </li><li>Review and ensure correct PPE is available and being used properly.</li><li>Create PLOTO and LOTO Switch plans for approval.   </li><li>Work leader for Pre Job-Brief, Job Safety Analysis, Personal LOTO, and switch plan LOTO</li></ul></li><li>Inspections &amp; Preventative Maintenance:<ul><li>Lead comprehensive inspections of solar power plants.</li><li>Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.</li><li>Supervise and train junior technicians on inspection and maintenance procedures.</li></ul></li><li>Troubleshooting:<ul><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues, including grid integration and communication problems.</li><li>Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to diagnose and address system performance issues.</li><li>Develop and implement corrective action plans.</li></ul></li><li>Documentation:<ul><li>Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.</li><li>Prepare technical reports and presentations for management.</li></ul></li><li>Learning &amp; Knowledge:<ul><li>Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.</li><li>Contribute to the development of training materials and procedures.</li><li>Skilled in Work Order documentation and providing oversight and direction in documentation to junior technicians.</li></ul></li><li>Able to travel on short notice and be available during non-traditional working hours.</li><li>Up to 50% travel may be expected at times.</li></ul><ul><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Associate's degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.</li><li>2-4 years of experience in the solar industry or related field.</li><li>OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certification.</li><li>FAA Part 107 Certification.</li><li>Proficient operating Drones for Aerial Thermographic purposes.</li><li>Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, solar energy technologies, and grid-tied systems.</li><li>Proficient the use of diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and engineering drawings.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Ability to lead junior technicians in the field.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.</li><li>Valid driver's license and clean driving record.</li></ul> PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Be able to drive a vehicle confidently and with a high degree of safety.</li><li>Be able to stand for long periods of time and walk distances up to three miles a day.</li><li>Be able to navigate ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps while maintaining 3 points of contact.</li><li>Have the visual acuity for depth perception, no field of vision issues, and to distinguish between colors.</li><li>Be comfortable working in a variety of climate conditions which may include but are not limited to, extreme heat (temperatures above 100°F) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32°F) for periods of more than one hour.</li><li>Be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</li></ul> Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.  The expected annual compensation range for this position is $92,000 - $115,000, encompassing base pay and potential incentive target opportunity.
