<h2>Overview</h2>We are designing the grid of the future!  As a Principal Electrical Engineer, Data Center at Electric Power Engineers (EPE), you will lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle support of mission-critical electrical systems for hyperscale data centers. Your work will directly safeguard uptime, optimize efficiency, and maintain the highest safety standards across EPE’s fast‑growing global portfolio. <h2>Responsibilities</h2>How you can make an impact:<ul> <li>Engineer medium‑ and low‑voltage power distribution, UPS and generator backup, and emergency power systems for high‑density loads.</li> <li>Produce and review one‑line diagrams, schematics, Bills of Materials, and installation drawings.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including National Electric Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards</li> <li>Work closely with mechanical, civil, controls, and IT teams to define project requirements, design criteria, and budgets.</li> <li>Provide technical leadership during design reviews, value‑engineering sessions, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and on‑site inspections.</li> <li>Analyze electrical systems to identify and resolve issues, including load balancing, capacity planning, and power consumption optimization</li> <li>Stay up-to-date with advancements in data center technologies, and recommend new technologies to improve the reliability and efficiency of our data center infrastructure</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering plus 10+ years of progressive experience in data‑center or other mission‑critical electrical design; active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
