This individual will be responsible for programming, machining, and routing processes that transform early-stage concepts into functional prototypes, enabling teams to derisk and validate their designs as quickly as possible to move into production.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Perform DFM review of incoming designs; communicate issues to designers and press for clarity on function-critical details</li> <li> Plan and execute jobs autonomously: stock selection, cutter selection, workholding strategy</li> <li>Manage job queue and prioritize to maximize spindle uptime</li> <li> Maintain purchasing authority for tooling, workholding, and stock</li> <li> Follow jobs through downstream operations to understand how machined tools perform in composite layup</li> <li> Collaborate on workflow development to maximize efficiency while maintaining traceability and transparent timelines</li></ul><p> </p><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>5-axis CNC programming/machining experience</li> <li>HS Diploma or GED equivalent</li> <li>Fusion 360 experience (primary shop software); experience with other CAM platforms considered</li> <li> Strong GD&amp;T knowledge</li> <li> Experience machining diverse materials: MDF, tooling board, aluminum alloys, steel, titanium, ceramics, composites, and engineered materials</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced everchanging environment with aggressive timelines</li> <li>Excellent problem solving and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to lift 50lbs unaided</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li> Prior experience with mold machining, stamping dies, or general toolmaking</li> <li> Assembly and mechanical systems experience</li> <li> Understanding of material characteristics and ability to research material properties</li> <li> Peripheral knowledge of adjacent manufacturing processes</li></ul><p> </p><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>The target base pay for this position is $44-$60/hour.
