AECOM is seeking an Architectural Designer to be based in Roanoke, VA.This position is expected to begin in May 2026The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Participate in high-energy, collaborative team and project environments.</li><li>Provide design and documentation support on projects of various sizes, type and complexity.</li><li>Produce rapid visualization of design concepts and assist with building presentations to clients.</li><li>Developing iterative solutions for a variety of design working under supervision by senior design staff.</li><li>Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations.</li><li>Participate in design through all phases, from concept to construction administration.</li><li>Able to perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets under the direction of the Senior Architect.</li><li>Able to coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project under the direction of the Senior Architect.</li></ul>Minimum Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or in another related field. </li><li>Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this role. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Master's degree in Architecture with 2+ years of demonstrated equivalency of experience.</li><li>Desire to actively work toward architectural licensure.</li><li>Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of 3D modeling with Autodesk Revit and other related software.</li><li>Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Enscape, Lumion, Rhino or other visualization tools or rendering software.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul>
