Our strength is our people, and we’re always looking to get stronger across North America, Europe, and Asia.    Join us as a Summer 2026 Mechanical Engineering Internship or Co-op in Stevensville, MI as we work together to bring innovative automation solutions to life.      Location Type: This is an onsite role located in Stevensville, MI.     How You’ll Make an Impact: <ul><li>Detail drawing packages for Mechanical Engineers.  </li></ul><ul><li>Solve practical problems with no standard solution.  </li></ul><ul><li>Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.  </li></ul><ul><li>Update CAD models based on redline drawings once machines have been built.  </li></ul><ul><li>Complete layout of machine through detail of all components.  </li></ul><ul><li>Check peer drawing packages.  </li></ul><ul><li>Develop conceptual designs for customers or sales and quoting.  </li></ul><ul><li>Work with vendors for proper sizing and quotation of purchased items needed for design.  </li></ul><ul><li>Complete all stock sizes for mechanical bill of material.  </li></ul><ul><li>Create dxf files for burnouts and internal/external machining.  </li></ul>Note: This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.     What You’ll Bring: <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li></ul><ul><li>Current enrollment in an accredited engineering program </li></ul>Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.    Skills That Will Help You Succeed: <ul><li>Computer literacy in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Pro Engineer preferred.  </li></ul><ul><li>Experience reviewing and understanding drawings.   </li></ul>  Company Overview:   At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
