Candidates should be willing and enthusiastic about working within the Jewish community but may be of any (or no) faith or background.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Physical Duties:  <ul><li>Set up and take down equipment including chairs, tables, AV systems, projector, lights, water stations, waste removal, and other necessary items. </li><li>Ensure all facilities are clean, organized, and safe for visitors and staff. </li><li>Facilitating the proper organization and cleanliness of event &amp; program spaces. </li><li>Welcoming guests to the Farm and facilitating check-in. </li><li>Inspecting inventory to ensure proper supplies. </li><li>Serving food and drinks to attendees. </li><li>Cleaning and returning equipment to proper storage space. </li></ul>Administrative Duties:  <ul><li>Provide high levels of customer service. </li><li>Utilize Virtuous and Square for point of sale, data entry, and other relevant financial exchanges for taking payments and registration at events. </li></ul>Additional Responsibilities:  <ul><li>Uphold and enforce all necessary safety precautions. </li><li>Lead Farm Tours and attend team meetings as appropriate. </li><li>Food Preparation and Cooking. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul>Qualifications and Experience  The ideal candidate will have:  <ul><li>High School diploma or GED. </li><li>Excellent communication, computer, sales, cash handling, and time management skills. </li><li>Strong organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently. </li><li>High levels of attention to detail. </li><li>Enthusiasm for working in a high energy team environment.  </li><li>Experience working in customer service. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Experience with food preparation, catering, or serving (not required). </li></ul>Compensation   $18 per hour depending on experience. Typical Working Conditions    The Programs &amp; Events Associate will work mostly outside and occasionally in the office. There will be exposure to Southern California outside temperatures, chemicals used in the agricultural industry, and loud noises.  This position requires lifting and moving heavy furniture and equipment and standing for long periods.   Essential Physical Tasks    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
