<h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2><p>Muon Space is leveraging our proprietary constellation of Earth-observation satellites to monitor and address climate change and growing customer needs, and we need a Software Platform Engineer to build the infrastructure that powers all of our engineering teams. As a key member of our Software Platform team, you will design, implement, and maintain the reliable, scalable platform that enables our entire organization to deliver software efficiently and securely. You'll be the force multiplier for our science and engineering teams, empowering them with modern cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. By creating world-class infrastructure and developer tools, you will directly accelerate our ability to deliver satellite systems and climate solutions.</p><h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Design and implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Terragrunt across different cloud platforms</li><li>Design and deploy Bazel build infrastructure such as network caches and remote execution clusters to accelerate developer productivity</li><li>Develop cloud cost visibility dashboards and self-serve budgeting tools for engineering teams</li><li>Architect and operate AWS EKS clusters for production workloads</li><li>Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and InfluxDB</li><li>Expand a growing private network infrastructure using Cloudflare Zero Trust and AWS transit gateway</li></ul><h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering experience</li><li>Deep expertise in AWS services (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM) and Terraform</li><li>Production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration</li></ul><h2><strong>Nice-to-have Skills</strong></h2><ul><li>Experience with Bazel build systems and remote caching</li><li>GitHub Enterprise and Okta/SSO integration experience</li><li>Experience with Artifactory or similar artifact management systems</li><li>Backstage or similar developer portal platforms</li><li>AWS GovCloud and multi-account AWS organizations</li><li>Experience in aerospace or satellite systems</li></ul><h2><strong>Salary</strong></h2><p>The salary range for this role is $175,000 - $205,000 plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
