At Mill, we are passionate about building easy-to-use, beautifully designed technologies that keep food in the food system and out of landfills.</div>As the Accounting Manager you’ll…<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Take ownership of operational accounting and reporting, including detailed analysis, reconciliation, and reporting of all general ledger accounts.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Manage inventory accounting and reserves; fleet management; equity accounting and stock-based compensation. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Liaise with Operations on manufacturing processes and reporting. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Help establish effective and automated processes for financial reporting and analytics.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Enhancement or creation of internal controls around assets and financial reporting.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Assist with financial statement audits.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Partners cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, HR, Legal, and other department leads</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Help recruit, select, orient, train and manage future buildout of the accounting staff</li></ul>Ideally you’ll have…<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or accounting, or related majors including business </li><li style="font-weight:400;">CPA required, inactive status ok</li><li style="font-weight:400;">5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public audit firms and/or established retail businesses</li><li style="font-weight:400;">High level of attention to detail and significant experience in financial accounting and financial reporting. Inventory / retail experience preferred.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Experience working in a high-growth, dynamic environment</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Exceptional written and verbal communication skills</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Data-driven problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and drive quality and process improvements</li><li style="font-weight:400;">NetSuite experience a strong plus</li></ul>The estimated base salary range for this position is $170k to $190k, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant.
