This role owns supply chain strategy and execution across planning, procurement, supplier management, logistics, and inventory, with a strong focus on operational excellence, cost control, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a lean environment, balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day execution.</div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><b>Supply Chain Leadership &amp; Strategy</b></li><li>Own the end-to-end supply chain function, aligning strategy with production requirements, customer commitments, and business objectives.</li><li>Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support growth, scalability, and operational resilience.</li><li>Serve as the primary supply chain leader and point of accountability for performance, risk, and results<b>.</b></li><div><br></div><li><b>Planning, Procurement &amp; Execution</b></li><li>Oversee demand planning, materials planning, and MRP to ensure production continuity and on-time delivery.</li><li>Lead procurement strategy, supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.</li><li>Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality, service levels, and supply continuity.</li><div><br></div><li><b>Supplier &amp; Risk Management</b></li><li>Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including domestic and international suppliers.</li><li>Identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing and contingency planning.</li><li>Address and resolve material shortages, quality issues, and delivery disruptions.</li><div><br></div><li><b>Inventory &amp; Logistics</b></li><li>Set inventory strategies and targets to optimize working capital and support manufacturing operations.</li><li>Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, freight, warehousing, and third-party logistics providers.</li><li>Ensure accurate inventory management, inventory turns improvement, and reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.</li><div><br></div><li><b>Process, Systems &amp; Continuous Improvement</b></li><li>Build, standardize, and continuously improve supply chain processes suitable for  a growing manufacturing organization.</li><li>Own supply chain data, reporting, and KPIs (e.g., OTIF, inventory turns, supplier performance, cost savings).</li><li>Leverage  ERP/MRP systems to improve visibility, planning accuracy, and decision-making.</li><div><br></div><li><b>Cross-Functional Partnership</b></li><li>Partner closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales to align priorities and execution.</li><li>Support S&amp;OP / IBP processes and long-range planning.</li><li>Provide clear communication to leadership on risks, constraints, and improvement  opportunities.</li><div><br></div><li><b>Team Leadership</b></li><li>Build, lead, and develop a high-performing supply chain and procurement team.</li><li>Establish clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations.</li><li>Act as  a hands-on leader and coach in daily execution<b>.</b></li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end supply chain functions.</li><li>Experience operating in small, lean, or scaling manufacturing organizations.</li><li>Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics.</li><li>Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.</li><li>Experience in complex, engineered, or industrial manufacturing environments.</li><li>Experience scaling supply chain operations to support growth or turnaround scenarios.</li><li>Global sourcing and international logistics experience a plus.</li></ul><br><div><b>About the Company:</b></div><div> </div><div>Velo, Velo3D, Sapphire and Intelligent Fusion are registered trademarks of Velo3D, Inc.
