EnergyHub is a growing organization, and as the third Support Engineer, you will have an outsized impact on defining this role within the company.</p><p>This role participates in an on-call rotation every 3–4 weeks to support critical issues outside of regular business hours.</p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities: What you’ll do</strong></p><p>In this position you will work closely with Engineering, Internal Stakeholders, and Clients to:</p><ul><li>identify root causes of technical issues, </li><li>respond to production issues, </li><li>configure programs and data flows between EnergyHub and our OEM or Utility partners, </li><li>configure and update data attributes when no UI is available, </li><li>build dashboards on top of our data warehouse to answer questions or give the team insight into high-value opportunities,</li><li>identify and implement technical solutions to mitigate or correct known issues,</li><li>debug reported issues by looking at logs, data and code (most often in Java, sometimes in Python and occasionally TypeScript), </li><li>contribute bug-fix PR’s to the codebase,</li><li>create, update, and maintain Python scripts for data migrations, data cleanup, or process improvements.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills and Experience: What you need</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to combine information gained from multiple sources to identify root causes,</li><li>Strong organizational skills and an eye for calling out areas for improvement,</li><li>Strong communication skills,</li><li>Comfort working with internal teams as well as external partners,</li><li>Comfort working across time zones and cultures,</li><li>An understanding of code versioning concepts and experience with tools like git,</li><li>Experience identifying and debugging issues using tools like AWS Cloudwatch, Sentry or Datadog,</li><li>Experience working with 3rd Party API’s using Postman,</li><li>Experience with a scripting language such as Python,</li><li>Experience or familiarity with Fullstack web development,</li><li>Experience with the AWS ecosystem (and/or other Azure/GCP/etc.)</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills and Experience: Nice-to-haves</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working on a level 3 support team</li><li>Experience working with utilities and/or our many device partners</li></ul><p><strong>Why work for EnergyHub?</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Collaborate with outstanding people</strong>: Our employees work hard, do great work, and enjoy collaborating and learning from each other. </li><li><strong>Make an immediate impact</strong>: New employees can expect to be given real responsibility for bringing new technologies to the marketplace.
