You will work alongside other development and CAE engineers, mechanical and software engineers and system owners, key stakeholders and management across the company, to develop and deliver world-class suspension, steering, braking, wheel/tire and vehicle dynamics systems from concept to production.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Develop and iterate vehicle hardware and software calibrations using subjective and data-driven processes</li><li>Install robust data acquisition systems on prototype vehicles; create, perform, analyze, and document test results</li><li>Objective and subjective analysis of attributes, on Lucid and benchmark vehicles</li><li>Troubleshoot and document mechanical, electrical, and software problems in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Work closely with cross-functional teams from across the business to make efficient, timely, data-driven decisions</li><li>Assist preparation, component upgrades, and maintenance of vehicle dynamics prototype fleet</li><li>Work with multiple complex projects in a demanding environment</li><li>Travel domestically and internationally as required</li><li>A strong desire to create state-of-the-art engineering products as an integral part of a very capable team</li></ul><p>Qualification:</p><ul><li>5 or more years of automotive experience with a solid understanding of vehicle dynamics principles</li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver vehicles with world-class dynamics attributes</li><li>Experience in both objective and subjective assessment, data acquisition and analysis</li><li>Experience in tuning several of the following: coil springs, air springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, bushings, tires, suspension control software, electric power steering, stability control, torque vectoring systems, and other dynamics-related control systems</li><li>Knowledge of the basic principles of ADAMS, CarRealTime, CarMaker, CarSim or similar</li><li>Understanding of Matlab/Simulink fundamentals</li><li>Familiarity with Python, C++</li></ul><p>Advantageous:</p><ul><li>Desire for continual learning</li><li>Excellent problem-solving ability, using fundamental principles and data-driven decision making</li><li>Formula/Baja SAE or motorsport background</li><li>Advanced driving qualifications</li></ul><p>Education</p><ul><li>BS/BEng or MS/MEng, or equivalent experience, in Mechanical Engineering</li></ul><div> </div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
