AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to support environmental remediation, demolition, and site restoration projects for a variety of clients. The Environment Technician will provide daily on-site support for construction, excavation, decommissioning, health and safety, and subcontractor operations across active project sites.The ideal candidate has a strong background in supervising union and non-union labor, managing heavy equipment operations, and directing field crews on complex environmental cleanup projects. Experience with Superfund, or industrial decommissioning is strongly preferred; however, any experience within Environmental Remediation fieldwork will be prioritized.Responsibilities will include but not limited to:<ul><li>Site Management &amp; Field Supervision<ul><li>Lead daily field operations for remediation, demolition, excavation, cap placement, trenching, and site restoration activities.</li><li>Supervise union and non-union equipment operators, laborers, teamsters, drillers, and subcontractors on active project sites.</li><li>Coordinate work sequencing, equipment use, contractor activities, and daily production goals to maintain schedule and quality.</li><li>Drive strict adherence to work plans, construction specifications, and environmental controls.</li></ul></li><li>Environmental &amp; Technical Field Oversight<ul><li>Oversee pump-and-treat system operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.</li><li>Manage vapor intrusion mitigation systems at residential locations, ensuring compliance with design and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Direct general groundwater sampling programs and support RCRA-related activities, including waste characterization and reporting.</li><li>Perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks aligned with remediation systems and site infrastructure.</li><li>Support waste handling, packaging, and disposal logistics, including compliance with regulatory requirements and disposal site criteria.</li><li>Monitor field conditions, contamination controls, dust suppression, stormwater BMPs, and equipment decontamination zones.</li></ul></li><li>Health &amp; Safety Leadership<ul><li>Serve as an on-site safety representative, enforcing AECOM safety policies and project-specific Health and Safety Plans.</li><li>Correct unsafe behaviors and conditions immediately and escalate issues to project management when needed.</li><li>Maintain compliance with applicable federal (OSHA) and/or state regulatory requirements, as appropriate for the specific job.</li></ul></li><li>Project Planning &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Support development and execution of Field Sampling Plans, QAPPs, SSHPs, and project work plans.</li><li>Maintain daily logs, production reports, safety records, equipment logs, and subcontractor documentation.</li><li>Assist in preparing progress reports, regulatory documentation, and closure reports.</li><li>Coordinate with regulatory inspectors and client representatives during field activities.</li></ul></li><li>Coordination &amp; Communication<ul><li>Serve as the primary on-site point of contact between subcontractors, project managers, safety staff, and client representatives.</li><li>Participate in project scheduling, constructability reviews, and planning of field mobilizations/demobilizations.</li><li>Communicate daily progress, changes, and issues to project management and regulatory partners.</li></ul></li></ul>
