Engineer will have the ability to work under direct supervision; responsible for PLC/HMI programming of simple to moderately complex projects configuration.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Applies knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and UL-508A standards to power distribution and control system panel designs</li><li>Develops electrical panel drawings using AutoCad Electrical</li><li>Creates internal and external deliverables; Bill of Materials (BOMs), I/O Lists, Load Lists, Cutsheets, Control Narratives, Sequence Charts, Alarms Lists, etc</li><li>Basic skills to write PLC and HMI programs for water treatment systems utilizing Rockwell / Allen Bradley and Siemens systems</li><li>Configures automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus</li><li>Conducts Controls Checkouts, Factory Acceptance Testing. Configures automated valves, instrumentation, pumps, VFDs, PLC/HMIs, and other miscellaneous electrical hardware</li><li>Troubleshoots equipment operation issues which may be related to electrical design or programming</li><li>Supports Startup &amp; Commission activities and pilot equipment in the field</li><li>Suggests and implements solutions</li><li>Commits to the deliverables with customers and/or management</li><li>Takes ownership of business practices to achieve impact within the role</li><li>Drive innovation, and continuous improvement of systems, methods, processes, tools, and standards</li><li>Experience with P&amp;IDs, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Electrical (plus)</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred but will consider degrees in other engineering disciplines.</li><li>0-3 years of work experience</li><li>Experience in panel design and controls system engineering is strongly preferred, as well as experience in water industry</li><li>Ability to execute basic engineering tasks with guidance from senior engineer</li><li>Ability to innovate and adapt</li><li>Ability to execute hands on tasks commensurate with assigned duties</li><li>Ability to work on a team, drive excellence, and create an environment of trust and innovation</li><li>Excellent collaboration and project skills</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical is a plus</li></ul>The estimated salary range for this position is $75K to $95K.  Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement. #LI-JO2Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
