Hi! Fastfrwrd.info is the place where we gamify climate action! Do something eco, get points, buy stuff from the eco marketplace and in games!We have made the goal to throw a bunch of events this year to get the word out about our platform and the many needs it can meet! We also have “The Carbon Neutral Strike” podcast that is currently unofficial and undistributed that we want to take public. We need a co-host for the podcast! Therefore, two types of hosting required.Role is part-time and bootstrapped, what we earn from working together will be split, there is no pre-existing salary. Platform is geared at 18+ audiences.Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Onboarding new users in monthly/bi-weekly/weekly onboarding calls (based on demand).</li><li>Help host events like our Climate Singles Valentine’s Mixer coming up VERY soon, game nights, Lunarpunk Lounge events (solarpunk and lunarpunk inspired themes), Topless Summer Chats for body positivity, Femme Hem where femmes gather, hand stich and repair and design, and discuss feminism and ecofeminism and life... lots of fun online events</li><li>These calls will also help people verify their adulthood so that they can participate fully in our reputation currency based on eco work and climate action. You will have to give people their “Verified Adult” tick marks</li><li>Work out a fair and uncapitalistic business model for events (currently the idea is to have 6 or so free seats per paid event of 30 participants)</li><li>Figure out how to organize in person events</li><li>Co-host “The Carbon Neutral Strike” Podcast which is currently only on the site and undistributed.</li><li>Interact on the Fastfrwrd Activity Feed to further assist onboarding</li><li>Gather feedback from meetings and share optimizations suggested.</li></ul>Your Experience:Please be aware that you can still apply even if you do not match exactly.<ul><li>At least 1 year of some sort of Community Management type role</li><li>Previous experience in online events with proven and calculable results</li><li>At least a certification or work equivalent related to Climate</li><li>Public speaking and presentation</li><li>Mass communication</li></ul>Restrictions of the Role:Everything has to be Carbon Neutral or Negative in design. We aim to be a carbon sink, an eco oasis online. We are also bootstrapping as much as possible, open to grants possibly but more focused on just generating a model and ecosystem that supports itselfNice to have:<ul><li>Interest in games</li><li>Interest in alternative currencies</li><li>Interest in travel</li><li>Creative writing skills</li><li>Visual artistic abilities</li><li>Desire to learn or ability to code games (we currently use Twine mostly but sometimes Unity)</li><li>Desire to reimagine tech and social media and value systems</li><li>Open-mindedness, founder is neurodiverse.</li><li>If you’re musical! I want to do a walking tour with musicians and vagabonds and bohemian tag alongs, performing at parks and of course podcasting the whole way, if that sounds fun to you let’s work on how it can happen</li><li>The ability to tackle crisis with action</li></ul>Please note: The emissions cost of this job listing will be compensated out of our first payout to cover all the webpage views emissions.
