Operating as a senior individual contributor, this role applies deep technical and financial expertise to independently deliver high-value projects while influencing cross-functional and senior stakeholders.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Lead end-to-end delivery of complex capital projects, typically $1M–$50M, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and quality</li> <li>Drive feasibility, programming, design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities</li> <li>Apply expert judgment to resolve complex technical, financial, and schedule challenges with minimal direction</li> <li>Manage project budgets, forecasts, change control, and executive-level reporting</li> <li>Lead selection and management of architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants</li> <li>Partner with Workplace, Facilities Maintenance, IT, Security, EHS, and other teams to ensure operational readiness</li> <li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes, FAA/airport requirements (when applicable), environmental regulations, and internal standards</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>Experience managing complex facilities or construction projects</li> <li>Demonstrated experience independently leading large, multi-disciplinary capital projects</li> <li>Strong knowledge of building systems (MEP, structural, civil)</li> <li>Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and cost control skills</li> <li>Ability to influence without authority and communicate effectively with senior leaders</li> <li>Proficiency with tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore, or Bluebeam</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>Experience with industrial, manufacturing, aviation, or airport facilities</li> <li>Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, PE, LEED AP, or similar)</li> <li>Familiarity with FAA processes and environmental reviews (CEQA/NEPA)</li> <li>Experience supporting fast-growing or highly regulated environments</li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $148,400 - $192,100/yr.
