This rolewill involve close collaboration with quality engineering, cross-functional teams, and internalstakeholders. We are looking toexpand this team with like-minded individuals looking to make a mark in the transportation industry.</p><p> </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Leads a designated Quality Control team to manage all aspects of quality control while ensuring compliance with internal and FAA Regulations</li> <li>Participates in the coordination and support of Material Review Board activities and results</li> <li>Cross-functional engagement with program management to understand and execute manufacturing/program priorities</li> <li>Collaborate with Quality Engineering to ensure all requirements are communicated to and executed by the quality control team</li> <li>Foster a culture of collaboration with manufacturing to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs without compromising quality</li> <li>Advise teams on design/change review activities, including inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements, and provide recommendations for improvement</li> <li>Manage data and metrics using data visualization tools to report inspection performance and quality levels</li> <li>Participate in product quality and quality management system reviews to assure compliance with drawings, work instructions, and internal ISO9001/AS9100 and regulatory requirements</li> <li>Support product and process failure investigation to ensure effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions internally</li> <li>Assist with the development and continual improvement activities to enhance the Joby quality control and management system</li> <li>Supports the strategic planning and execution of long-term sustainable goals and objectives as determined by the Senior Manager of Quality Control</li> <li>Responsible for performing job duties in a manner consistent with established Joby Policies and Procedures</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or related field</li> <li>Minimum 6 years’ experience in Quality Management, Leadership, or Quality Program Management role supporting a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Understanding of mechanical systems and inspection processes, including in-process inspection and dimensional inspection </li> <li>Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, and tools</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing skills</li> <li>Experience in the aviation industry</li></ul><p> </p><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements</li> <li>Understanding of ISO9001, AS9100 or TS16949 Quality Management System</li> <li>Knowledge of AS9102 first article inspection process</li> <li>Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing and Green Belt certification</li></ul><p> </p><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $71,700 - $149,600 per year.
