This role requires attention to detail, safe material handling, and active communication with the production team to meet customer expectations and production schedules.What You’ll DoShipping:<ul style=""><li>Securely package and wrap all products to prevent damage during transit.</li><li>Verify paperwork accuracy using ERP to ensure the correct quantity and parts are shipped.</li><li>Generate accurate bills of lading and maintain organized shipping documentation.</li><li>Monitor conveyor lines, remove finished units, and load products into trailers or storage areas.</li><li>Inspect products for quality and packaging compliance before shipment.</li><li>Stretch wrap and prepare pallets for delivery.</li><li>Track critical daily shipping items and update the production team on status.</li><li>Forklift and pallet jack operation: safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move materials and equipment within the warehouse.</li><li>Recycling: manage the recycling of materials as needed, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining a clean workspace.</li></ul>Receiving:<ul style=""><li>Process all inbound shipments, verifying counts and quality against paperwork.</li><li>Deliver in-process materials or parts to production areas as needed.</li><li>Perform visual inspections of received items for accuracy and quality.</li><li>Record and maintain accurate inventory data.</li></ul>Material Handling and Inventory:<ul style=""><li>Perform inventory stock spot checks as directed.</li><li>Participate in end-of-month inventory.</li><li>Load and unload trailers, including sweeping and cleaning to maintain product integrity.</li><li>Assist in assembly or production processes when needed (training provided).</li><li>Perform local deliveries and pickups using company vehicles (Ford Transit Van or 16’ Box Truck).</li><li>Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and aisles.</li><li>Participate in daily production meetings to share shipping/receiving updates.</li></ul>What You’ll Bring<ul style=""><li>High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.</li><li>2+ years of shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.</li><li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</li><li>Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or logistics preferred.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs.</li><li>Ability to operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.</li><li>Must be comfortable with manual labor and working in a physically demanding environment.</li><li>Perform demanding physical tasks for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day</li><li>Ability to stoop, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, and twist for prolonged periods, up to 12 hours.</li></ul>About This TeamThe Materials Team acts as the vital circulatory system of Base, ensuring that every high-tech component and finished battery unit moves flawlessly through our facility and into the hands of our customers.
