Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage and support construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Document Control, Requests for Information (RFIs), version control, and project management. This role involves coordinating with clients, project teams and 3rd-party engineering review, ensuring compliance with project contract specifications, and maintaining efficient workflows to meet deadlines and quality standards.Key Responsibilities<ul> <li>Project Coordination: Support the project manager in overseeing pre-construction and on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets.</li> <li>Document Management Review and manage project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely updates.</li> <li>RFI Processing: Prepare, track, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) to address design or construction issues, coordinating with vendors, engineers, and subcontractors.</li> <li>Version Control: Maintain strict version control for project documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure all stakeholders work with the latest revisions.</li> <li>Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and project requirements.</li> <li>Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to troubleshooting any issues with materials and services, resolving any on-site issues.</li> <li>Project Reporting: Generate and distribute progress reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation to keep stakeholders informed.</li> <li>Schedule Management: Assist Project Managers in developing and updating project schedules using tools like Procore or MS Project, identifying potential delays and proposing solutions.</li> <li>Quality Control: Ensure work meets project specifications, building codes, and industry standards through regular quality checks and coordination with QA/QC teams.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul> <li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.</li> <li>Experience:</li> <ul> <li>2-5 years of experience as a project engineer in construction, with on-site project management experience.</li> <li>Experience managing RFIs and maintaining version control for project documents.</li> </ul> <li>Technical Skills:</li> <ul> <li>Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).</li> <li>Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.</li> <li>Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.</li> </ul> <li>Soft Skills:</li> <ul> <li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with diverse teams.</li> <li>Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.</li> </ul> <li>Other Requirements:</li> <ul> <li>Ability to work on-site full-time and travel to project locations as needed.</li> <li>Valid driver’s license.</li> </ul></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul> <li>Experience with PV projects greater than 30MWdc</li> <li>Experience with Substation and/or Transmission Construction</li></ul>
