<h3>Position Summary</h3>The Senior Accountant will serve as a key member of the accounting team, owning complex accounting activities across multiple legal entities. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep balance sheet expertise, and experience supporting construction and/or renewable energy (solar) accounting environments. The ideal candidate is highly independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-entity structure.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations</li><li>Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying errors, inconsistencies, and missing data; investigate and resolve discrepancies independently</li><li>Support accounting for complex entity structures, including multi-tiered consolidations, joint ventures (JV), and intercompany transactions</li><li>Assist with consolidation processes and elimination entries across multiple legal entities</li><li>Support accounting related to construction projects and/or renewable energy solar development and owner-operator activities, including project cost tracking, capitalization, and revenue recognition as applicable</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with project management, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting</li><li>Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and system efficiencies</li><li>Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies</li></ul><h3>Required Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>5+ years of progressive accounting experience</li><li>Proven experience as a NetSuite user </li><li>Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to reconcile balance sheet accounts and pinpoint errors and missing data</li><li>Experience working with complex entity structures, including consolidations and JV accounting</li><li>Experience in construction accounting and/or renewable energy (solar) development or owner-operator accounting</li><li>Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision</li><li>Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling)</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>CPA or CPA-eligible</li><li>Experience in EPC, infrastructure, or utility-scale project environments</li><li>Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-currency environments</li></ul><h3>Key Competencies</h3><ul><li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Strong problem-solving and investigative mindset</li><li>Ability to operate in a fast-growing, evolving organization</li><li>Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders</li></ul>
