Solar Field Engineer

This person will support multiple aspects of both engineer, procure, and construct (EPC) and balance of plant (BOP) projects in the utility and renewable energy sector. There are currently project locations across the country and candidates should be ready to travel to any of our project sites for their role.&nbsp;Requirements:<ul><li>Safety<ul><li>Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function.</li><li>Reinforces safe behaviors and corrects unsafe actions.</li><li>Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) are completed daily.</li><li>Conducts safety walks regularly.</li><li>Participates in the morning meetings and All-Hands meetings with project personnel.</li></ul></li><li>Quality<ul><li>Supports the development of project specific standard work instructions.</li><li>Verifies field installation is per the engineered IFC and manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Prepares and supports closeout documentation, job books, and lessons learned.</li><li>Supports Continuous Improvement through feedback and review of Nonconformances and Lessons Learned on a project.</li></ul></li><li>Environmental<ul><li>Reviews environmental plans and permits for compliance.</li><li>Assists with permitting and conducts environmental inspections.</li><li>Ensures adherence to all permit conditions on-site.</li></ul></li><li>Planning<ul><li>Reviews and understands the schedule and budget constraints of the project.</li><li>Supports 3-week lookaheads and resource tracking.</li><li>Supports resolution of field-level technical issues.</li><li>Coordinates with appropriate individuals to create preparatory meeting templates to support project planning and task direction.</li><li>Coordinates timely procurement of labor, equipment, and materials.</li></ul></li><li>Operations<ul><li>Supports the superintendents with daily tracking of time and production quantities.</li><li>Completes Plan of Day (POD) reports in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.</li><li>Tracks progress versus the baseline schedule.</li><li>Maintains updated Foreman Handbooks with current documents.</li><li>Creates and compile shake-out maps to assist material staging onsite.</li><li>Performs material receiving, inventory and management activities to support production.</li></ul></li><li>Client Relationship and Contract Management<ul><li>Understands and adheres to client’s expectations.</li><li>Professionally communicates to strengthen and continually maintains client relationships.</li></ul></li><li>Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with peers and supervisors.</li><li>Operates company-assigned vehicle in a safe manner in all types of road and weather conditions.</li><li>Utilizes, and ensures utilization of, the Safety Management System (SMS), the Quality Management System (QMS), and the Environmental Management System (EMS) throughout a project’s lifecycle.</li><li>Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.</li><li>Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies &amp; Procedures.</li><li>Ability to be adaptable and capable of covering multiple scopes as required.</li></ul>&nbsp;Safety<ul><li>Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.&nbsp; Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly. </li><li>Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.</li><li>Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.</li><li>Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.</li><li>Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence.</li><li>Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.</li><li>Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.</li><li>Follows technical, quality and safety systems in place and determines appropriate action.</li><li>Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.&nbsp; Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly. </li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma/GED Required.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering or construction management (or equivalent) or 2 years equivalent and relevant work experience, required. </li><li>1 + year of experience in BESS, Substation, Transmission, and/or renewable energy EPC contract experience, preferred.</li><li>Ability to travel 76-100% of the time domestically required.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License required.</li><li>Construction site safety and OSHA requirements.</li><li>Reading prints and drawings and taking off quantities.</li><li>Interpretation and understanding Contract documents including scopes of work (SOW), schedule of value (SOVs) and budgets.</li><li>Use of computer software, including Heavy Job, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office suite, and other proprietary systems.</li><li>Interpretation and understanding of project schedules.</li><li>Vendor and materials management.</li><li>Functional competencies include accountability, communication, responsibility/stewardship, teamwork, prioritization, and self-knowledge &amp; self-learning.</li></ul>&nbsp;Anticipated base salary range:&nbsp; $66,000 - $78,000Premium Daily Per Diem paid for food, lodging, rotational Travel&nbsp;The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
