Description:This is a multidisciplinary role that will partner with teams from across the company and serve as an internal expert on wholesale and retail power market dynamics. The Energy Markets team is responsible for optimizing revenue and minimizing risk for our clients’ renewable and battery storage assets. Candidates will have a track record of creating detailed analyses, understanding end-to-end business considerations, and having a passion for the clean energy industry.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Serve as an internal expert on market rules and requirements in wholesale and retail energy programs across the country.</li><li>Partner with the Operations team to ensure client assets are appropriately registered in contracted markets and programs and meet ongoing compliance requirements.</li><li>Work with the Data Science team to develop market price forecasts and asset bidding strategies.</li><li>Maximize asset profitability by executing market participation strategies for renewable and storage assets in energy, ancillary services, and capacity markets.</li><li>Monitor market trends through analyses of historical and real-time market data.</li><li>Partner with Finance to develop financial forecasts and models related to market participation.</li><li>Develop and maintain reports detailing asset financial and operational performance.</li><li>Support Sales and Marketing efforts with insights and analyses on market participation strategies.</li></ul>&nbsp;Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:<ul><li>BA/BS in a financial or analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.</li><li>A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel or other analytical tools.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively and thrive working in a variety of capacities across the company.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.</li></ul>&nbsp;Desired Qualifications/Skills/Education:<ul><li>Direct experience working in the energy industry.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of wholesale power market mechanics and regulatory structures.</li><li>Familiarity with renewable energy or battery storage development and operations.</li></ul>About SYSO:At SYSO Technologies we manage energy resources in real-time, responding to events that impact the power grid.
