Our team is building a dynamic network to meet the changing demands for electricity and increasingly, renewable electricity – safely, securely and sustainably in the communities we serve.The Land &amp; Planning Team within Energy Networks provide support to the three Licence Businesses in the gaining of appropriate land rights and planning consents required to install and keep installed the distribution and transmission network for the business to deliver its statutory obligations for the delivery of the RIIO ED4 and T3 Business Plans.What you’ll be doing<ul><li>Provide technical support to the Land Team in securing relevant landowner consents, including direct engagement with landowners to establish land ownership, resolve land rights enquiries, and process changes in ownership details and LV claims.</li><li>Where required, assist with the preparation and issue of land rights documentation and associated plans.</li><li>Support applications for statutory planning consents necessary to facilitate network development.</li><li>Be responsible for the creation, updating and day-to-day management of land rights records, including hard copy files, the Land GIS and the SAP Real Estate system.</li><li>Process payments to landowners relating to land rights activities, including the maintenance of accurate payment records.</li><li>Register Service Request Forms through the ESCOMS work management system, ensuring new work requests are received, logged, reviewed and evaluated prior to issue to a Land Officer.</li></ul>What you’ll bring<ul><li>A working knowledge of Distribution Networks and their individual components, such as substations and overhead lines, along with an understanding of the regulated nature of the business.</li><li>The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at varying levels within organisations, including management, engineers, planners, lawyers, statutory bodies, farmers/landowners and members of the public.</li><li>The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, maintain open dialogue and engage in negotiations to resolve adversarial or confrontational situations.</li><li>Knowledge and practical experience of the Electricity Act 1989, Town &amp; Country Planning Act, property law, valuations, the Compensation Code and agricultural practices.</li><li>A working knowledge of internal financial processes and systems, including SAP.</li><li>An understanding of combined land rights requirements and their financial implications.</li></ul>As a minimum, you will demonstrate:<ul><li>Previous experience in a customer-facing role.</li><li>Knowledge of the Distribution Network and its individual component parts.</li><li>Familiarity with common software applications, including the MS Office suite.</li><li>Knowledge of SAP.</li></ul>What’s in it for you As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
