Our cutting-edge technology and commitment to innovation drive the renewable energy transition.This position is a hybrid role (4x per week onsite) that will be based at our headquarters in Fremont, California.Key Responsibilities:​​</div><ul><li>Develop and execute test plans for robotic systems during the NPI phase to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.​</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality to identify and resolve integration and test issues.​</li><li>Design and implement scalable test fixtures, procedures, and automation for mechanical, electrical, and control system validation.​</li><li>Analyze test data, identify trends and root causes, and provide detailed reports with corrective actions.​</li><li>Drive DFT (Design for Test) and DFx initiatives to improve product manufacturability and testability.​</li><li>Lead the transition of test processes from R&amp;D to high-volume production environments.​</li><li>Work closely with contract manufacturers and suppliers to implement and verify test procedures.​</li><li>Support failure analysis and continuous improvement of robotic products and processes.​</li><li>Perform system-level debugging, validation, and optimization.​​</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications​<div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.​</li><li>7+ years of hands-on experience in robotics testing, system integration, or NPI engineering.​</li><li>Strong understanding of robotic physics, motion control, and sensor integration.​</li><li>Proven experience with Edge AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, OpenVINO, NVIDIA Jetson, or Edge Impulse).​</li><li>Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting tools and methodologies.​</li><li>Proficiency in interpreting schematics, mechanical drawings, and test specifications.​</li><li>Familiarity with data acquisition and test automation tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB).​</li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills.​</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.​</li><li>Experience with NI TestStand or other automated test frameworks.​</li><li>Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, preferably in robotics or mechatronic systems.​</li><li>Knowledge of PLCs, embedded systems, or industrial communication protocols.​</li><li>Experience working with CM/ODM partners and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.​</li><li>Understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC, ISO, CE, UL).​</li><li>Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.​</li><li>Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD, and Agile development practices​​</li></ul>Nextpower offers a comprehensive benefits package.
