This position focuses on assisting the Team with managing the EHS requirements of our team members for Beta Technologies. </span></div><br><br><h3>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:</h3><ul><li>Assist with Environmental Waste Compliance program.</li><li>Assist with managing the chemical safety program throughout BETA.</li><li>Evaluate work processes to identify and mitigate existing and potential hazards.</li><li>Perform weekly health and safety audits of our Vermont and Plattsburgh, NY locations.  </li><li>Has proficient knowledge of federal, state and local regulations to include but not limited to EPA, DEC, OSHA, NFPA and ANSI to provide guidance to team members.</li><li>Support teams with completing job hazard analyses, including focus on ergonomics.</li><li>Actively participate in Safety Committee.</li><li>Support EHS Team in other related areas as needed.</li><li>Provide and document observations of safe and unsafe work practices as well as unsafe work conditions.</li><li>Ability to be mobile for over 50% of the workday and commute to multiple facilities.</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Must have a positive and thoughtful approach to delivering our safety message.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Current training on OSHA requirements for general industry.</li><li>Current training/knowledge on RCRA requirements.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years in environmental, health and safety.</li><li>Must maintain a high level of technical knowledge by continuing education and certificate programs to keep current with regulation changes.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate within the organization's software and email programs.</li><li>High energy, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and outside-of-the-box thinking are highly desirable.</li><li>Must have a valid driving license.</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Build electric airplanes with us!</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">BETA offers a competitive Total Compensation package designed to support you now and as you grow with us.
