What You'll Do:<ul><li>Acting as the prime technical and project interface to key YASA customers for large scale motor and motor controller projects</li><li>Oversee the generation of realistic, achievable project plans using MS project and ensuring they are driven through to completion</li><li>Identifying key project and product risk areas; tracking and developing mitigating actions for teams</li><li>Ensuring design and project best practises are followed; identifying any gaps and developing processes as the company grows</li><li>Working closely and effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery</li><li>Facilitating discussions with key members of key suppliers on timing costs, APQP, PPAP and delivery requirements</li><li>Work with the Sales Team to realise technical opportunities with developing customers</li><li>Providing updates to management on the state of projects and developing action plans to resolve issues</li><li>Ensuring development, procurement, assembly, and delivery meet project timings</li><li>Motivating and driving internal teams by setting goals and direction</li></ul> To succeed in this role, we believe you'll need:<ul><li>Proven experience working in the automotive industry in a lead project management role.</li><li>Demonstrated track record of engineering ability in an electrical or mechanical discipline.</li><li>Proven track record of successful project delivery from concept to J1+90 and clear understand of requirements through entire project lifecycle.</li><li>Experience managing OEM customers both technically and commercially to ensure costs, delivery, and quality are clear at all times.</li><li>Good awareness of best practice development processes, requirements, and expectations.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to highlight process weaknesses and implement changes.</li><li>Experienced in the use of MS project and practical project/risk management techniques. </li><li>Proven track record leading cross-functional teams in a matrix leadership organisation.</li><li>To have instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, practiced in negotiation and presentations</li><li>UK driving license and ability to travel.</li></ul> Our mission is to lead the design and delivery of the best electric motor technology available. YASA was founded on the principle that small, light electric motors would play a growing role in meeting both the strict emissions targets being set globally in a wide range of industries and the requirement for greater efficiency through electrification. The Company was incorporated in 2009 based on a unique patented motor technology invented by the Company’s founder and CTO Dr Tim Woolmer whilst studying for his DPhil at Oxford University.   The unique YASA motor technology is ideal for a range of mobile applications such as hydraulics replacement, power generation, traction and propulsion and hybridisation.  YASA Motors manufactures a range of standard electric motors and generators based on our unique motor topology at our factory and Company Headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.  The YASA-750, YASA-250 and YASA-400 products have been designed to be integrated into customers’ products in a range of markets and industries with minimal application engineering.  In addition to our standard products, YASA has a design and development team dedicated to making bespoke motors for customers for medium-high volume applications.
