<div>We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Prevailing Wage / Payroll Associate to manage and process payroll for our organization, with a primary focus on prevailing wage compliance, advanced data analysis, and certified reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of proficiency in Excel and a deep understanding of payroll systems, labor laws, and prevailing wage requirements for both state and federal programs (including the IRA). You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.  Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll for ESS employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness. </li></ul><ul><li>Prevailing Wage Oversight: Research, calculate, and process prevailing wage rates for applicable employees, including complex calculations for fringe benefits, overtime, and apprentice scales. </li></ul><ul><li>Certified Reporting: Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., Davis-Bacon, IRA, and state-specific prevailing wage laws). </li></ul><ul><li>Data Analysis &amp; Excel Management: Utilize advanced Excel functions to manage payroll records, wage adjustments, and labor cost analysis. </li></ul><ul><li>Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all payroll-related laws, including tax withholding, garnishments, and benefits contributions. </li></ul><ul><li>Financial Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling payroll accounts and ensuring data integrity between payroll and accounting systems. </li></ul><ul><li>Support &amp; Resolution: Collaborate with HR and management to address employee payroll inquiries and resolve complex wage issues. </li></ul><ul><li>Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on changes to prevailing wage laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements to ensure the company remains ahead of compliance curves. </li></ul><ul><li>Audit Management: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation, Excel-based reports, and compliance logs. </li></ul><ul><li>Point of Contact: Act as the primary point-of-contact for Client Compliance team requests and deliverables. </li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li> Proven experience as a Payroll Associate or similar role, with a focus on prevailing wage payroll.  </li><li> Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws, including the IRA and state-specific requirements. </li><li>Proficiency in payroll related software and Microsoft Excel.  </li><li> Familiarity with certified payroll reporting and compliance requirements.  </li><li> Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.  </li><li> Able to manage time to meet tight payroll deadlines.  </li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.  </li><li> Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. </li><li> Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.  </li><li>Strong communication skills to interact with employees, management, and external agencies. </li></ul> Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.  The expected annual compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000, encompassing base pay and potential incentive target opportunity.
