AECOM is seeking a Counsel (Operations) to join our legal team in Brazil. The selected individual will be responsible for providing strategic advice and comprehensive legal support to engineering, construction, and infrastructure projects in the country, ensuring legal and contractual compliance according to international standards and the corporate policies of the group.This role requires a combination of strong legal judgment, business acumen, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple disciplines in a dynamic and multicultural environment.The responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Advise the structuring, negotiation, and execution of engineering, construction, and consulting contracts.</li><li>Identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks at various stages of projects.</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal risk review and approval policies.</li><li>Coordinate and oversee legal matters in collaboration with technical, financial, and project management teams.</li><li>Manage external counsel and represent the company’s interests before clients, partners, and local authorities.</li><li>Ensure alignment with global policies and ethical and compliance standards.</li><li>Prepare and review contractual documentation in English and Portuguese.</li></ul>
